Fitting legshields badges

Hello

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere on here i have a couple lambretta legshield badges ( LI / TV / SX type ) and i dont have the a clue how to fit them !! any advice would be greatly appreciated . Typically the legshields have been painted and fitted by the previous owner so any ideas how to do it without scratching paint work etc would be helpful.
