I need to replace the rear bearing, so am collecting bits for the job.
I currently have a camlam bush in the crownwheel, but have a pair of needle bearings that I was planning to use in the next build.
but which is best ?
I'll be fitting a camlam lightened crownwheel
thanks

cheers colin
or, reading in Sticky's book earlier, is the bush used cos the crownwheel is not hard enough to take the needles ?

The CamLam ones run a bush , if it hasn't already cut a small groove with a hacksaw across the bush to aid lubrication. You'll see the CamLam crown wheel come with a small hole were the bush fits to help with this to.

Should be a good fit but not to the point were it won't turn in the crown wheel
