Ignition switch operation?

The festoon parking/day light was not working on my GP. It's got an a/c electronic kit on and if I'm correct in thinking the festoon bulb should work when the switch is in the second position and turned off when you go onto main beam? I've tested the bulb which is ok and the earth side of the bulb holder is ok but I don't seem to be getting any voltage the other end which is the yellow wire from the ignition switch. I thought the switch was faulty so have bought another one but still the same. Rear light, brake, horn, speedo, high and low all work perfectly, it's just the festoon one which doesn't. Should there be voltage/power coming through the yellow wire from the ignition switch in one of the positions? I had an Indian switch but have now fitted a Casa one.

Check that the switch purple (this is the feed into the switch for pilot lights) has power. If you've fitted an electronic loom, this will need to be connected to the browns.

With the Casa, the festoon will go off in position 3 (main lights). With the Indian it will be on in positions 2 & 3.
