Ive decided to put a malossi 172 kit on my t5 but i dont want to just bolt it on and not get the full potential of the kit, its standard at the moment with a pm pipe on it, going to strip it completely and do bearings, seals etc.

I have'nt done any work on vespas before just lammys so i would appreciate absolutely any advice on any part of the rebuild

cheers

The best thing you can do is buy the Vespa engine rebuild DVD for about £25. Believe me it will be the best £25 you will ever spend

my t5 had a pm pipe on and was ok untill you hit 4th gear
you will probably also find that the malossi kit is very rattly , sounds like lots of piston slap

As I said earlier you will find the job much much easier after watching this and everything is done in real time so you could watch the dvd whilst doing the job if it helps.
