Pm down pipes

My down pipe has a crack in it!! Pm 28 !
Im gona ring them but does anyone know if they sell the downpipe on its own or are they manufactured with the exhaust at the time so only fit that pipe!

they quoted me 50 quid last year as i wanted one for a iron barrel i never bought it instd i bought a nearly new scootrs /sterling pipe compleat for 60 quid which look pukka

well I rang them and its now 60 quid for a down pipe so if any of you are considering a pm pipe
please bare this in mind when you buy as its canny steep to replace a down pipe!
Looks like the welder is coming out!

Why has it cracked? Was it stressed when fitted/made wrong?

Its cracked at the point the flange is welded to the down pipe!
On inspection the wall of the down pipe is really thin in this place and has cracked on the weld!
You cant see the crack at all and I only found it when oil / petrol mix started seeping through it once fitted!
Bought it off Ebay and as usual with ebay stuff I found it was faulty!
The bloke I bought it off said it had been in the garage for a year or two and now I know why!

it sounds like its a straight forward repair...............get it welded matey........

make sure you clean it really well if that carbon gets in the weld it will make it very brittle, can it be welded inside as well i cant remember what it looks like in there
