I,m running a old mb 190 with readvalve conversion with ron moss pipe pulls ace 16 x 46 Li 150 series 2 box , seems ok all rounder but thinking going 17 X 46 new 81 chain as it sceams on the moterway and the flat roads any one think it will pull it

Might be OK what with the reed valve. Is it the 'short-barrel' (toped 'n' tailed) 190?

I ran a 'short' 190 (no reed) on Li125 box 17/46 (28mm VHSA and PM pipe).

Did most things I asked it too, but was a major pain riding with a slow pack....

Try and keep the final gearing to about 5.00 - 1 or above for all round riding.

The set-up likes to rev: don't strangle it by over gearing.......! Great little motor on a budget those 190's ...you can spend a lot more for very little improvement on what they do IMHO

Conclusion: make sure crank is sound and prolly leave it as it is as they do not have the torque to pull tall gearing

its the long version so rd rod on gp webs, the read valve is an old mb manifold type again rd 350 read block fit on it , it pulls like a train , yep suzuki 190's, honda 205s - still great conversions if set up right
