Can someone tell what's the real performance uplift I can expect by fitting a Mallossi 210 cylinder kit, upjetting the standard carb to suit and fitting the SIP road/race box to a standard P2 lump..?

In other words no fettling of the engine cases to suit etc...

What can I expect over the performance from the standard stock engine...?

You will need to re-set your timing, opinions will vary but I ran mind at 16' BTDC with no issues or pinking.

its a lot of money to spend if your just going to bolt it on.........gets there alot quicker, plenty of torque......but

ive got a bog standard p2 with a sip pipe and i go 2 up everywhere but when its just me i get near those speeds.

only my opinion but if i was to put one on id have a bit more work done to get the full potential out of it.

You'd be far better off going with the Polini over the Malossi.

Polini are, or perhaps even have by now, introducing their 210 alloy hit complete with cylinderhead this year.

Malossi makes it's power far too far up the rev range and is just a plain pain in the arse unless everything else is just so.

I have a fully ported Malosi 210, 30mm carb, reed vale, race crank, jl exhaust that puts out 23bhp. It will pull std p2 gear no problem and will sit at 75 all day long. I love the engine as it pulls brilliantly. If you can afford to do it properly you will love. Not brilliant on fuel but hey that's the trade off.

Hope that helps....
