Sterling stub....?

I have what i think is a SS sterling exhaust. There are no markings on either the exhaust or the end can. the end can has a bracket directly off the cylinder onto the lower shock mount and it connects to the barrel by way of a clamp (no springs). The only thing missing is the stub which i presume must be specific to the Sterling pipe?

Most of the above is guesswork on my part and the pipes being welded at the mo so i cant post a pic. What I would like to know is if this sounds like a sterling pipe and if so does anyone know where i can source a stub?

Thanks
Sef

got a lammy sterling in the shed, and its more akin to a PM pipe than owt else. no seperate barrel stub on these , they just bolt up like a normal exhaust.

Looks like a Scorpion to me too. Is the broken stub just blackened with heat/oil or has someone tried to weld a mild steel downpipe to the broken Scorp? The clamp is out of place either way: Scorpions have a stub/slip-joint.

Thet do snap 'readily' 1/2 a Scorpion pipe danced off the road and twatted my leggies then arm on the way to a rally (rider in front). Stainless 2 stroke expansions with two mounting points :-/

Scorpion did (or do?) stubs. There were 2 versions 'single' and 'double' slip-joint so beware.

Yip its a Scorpion - i have one hung up in the garage

before you ask sorry but its for a mates bike

the clamp may have been an attempt to seal the stub to the pipe - the one i have is a single skin stub

i dont think they dont make them anymore for lambretta so it will have to be ebay or forums

best of luck

Cheers lads, so it looks as though its a scorpion. Can anyone confirm wether the bracket at the end is an addition or part of the pipe. Im hoping he still has the stub, hes looking at the mo. What sort of pipe is it, tourer or revvy? Its going on a standard 150.

the bracket on the tail pipe is two pieces - one on the tail pipe itself then a seperate bolted together with a rubber bobbin that fits on the shocker mount

i`ll take a photo tonight and post
