which out of these exhausts indian bigbore, af clubman or ancilotti would be best suited to a tuned cast 190 . dont want an expansion type exhaust and as the mb clubman, jl/fran clubmans are still a myth it will have to be one of the 3 mentioned. oh and a gori is way too much money for me. cheers simon

The ancilotti's are about £160 which in my world is a lot of money Indian big bore the baffles come loose after a while, clubman for me every time vfm IMHO of course go for the ancilotti's if you can afford it. In terms of performance it is the best exhaust apparently.

i have an older type 42mm af clubman and a 42mm twin pipe af cluban. indian big bore in kit form is £50 and if i go this way i wont have trouble with loose baffles, i wont put them in just wnted to try something different and on a budget

got an indian big bore on the Special (stage 4 200 and 30mm dellorto) i cut it open , removed all the mesh and wadding, cut the stinger pipe down an inch inside, and welded it all up, also drill through where the baffle plate sits, and put self tapping screws in, welded round them, welded round all the bracketry, and put a longer,stronger strut between the box and tailpipe made out of an old barrel stud, weld the tail pipe bracket all the way round, and used better "full circle" clamp on the join.tidied all the welds up, couple of coats of VHT paint, and i should have a pipe thats gonna last me a long time. it works better than the AF 42 i had on as well.

The ancilloti is a great performance pipe but it's made of cheese and will split and fall apart.

On the Taffspeed Specials that we built all used the Indian GP200 Bigbore system, with the porting done to the cylinder they worked well & were not loud!
Your 190cc cast cylinder should work well with 175'-180' exhaust timing @ 42mm width, transfers about 126', inlet approx 150' with a 28-30mm Dellorto.

I hope this helps you decide & make a choice within your budget.

joking apart, its not that much louder with the mesh out of it, not as loud as some expansions. nice "ring ting" sound. the Indian "big bore" is a good pipe , the fitting can be hit and miss (mine is spot on), but for the money, mine was 20 quid, a bit of fettling....
