This one's been bugging me for a while..
i have 2 "regular use" scooters...
1 ... my 150 special....
186 mugello (V1) 28 phbh carb, ancillotti zorst, remote filter
runs sweet as a nut, starts 1/2nd kick...
2...... GP125
186 mugello (V4) same carb (jetted the same as the 150), same zorst.... 200 gearing
the 125 has never revved as freely as the 150, but recently it's got to the point where i cannot get it to reach peak revs and have to back off the throttle and change up...
so far i have.....
swopped the carb for the one on the 150
changed the stator for a bgm
checked the timing
changed the CDI for a genuine piaggio one
changed the petrol tap (fuel tank is new as the old one split)
retorqued the head
please .... where shall i look next??
may have to whip the barrell off to check for signs of damage, maybe??
any advice will be much appreciated

Muggy 186
I am afraid that the carb probably needs resetting , although on paper they should work out the same, there will always be minuscule differences in engine build affecting fuel mix. I suggest to try the second set up with no filter to see if you can get it to rev out clean, if not try a smaller main and see if this makes any difference, this is only a start point to find out if it is a carb problem.

thanks, John... i tend to agree on the carb being the issue
also, thinking about it.. the V4 muggy is different to the V1... the exhaust port is bridged, and i think they messed with the port timings too...
will check the main.. i think it's a 118 in there at the moment....
