Looking for some advice on paint colours for an early Framebreather , its a 1958 with slotted panels and frame number above the engine mounts as opposed to the "normal" place!
I've been told its an early one and i'm led to believe that the early ones were all in one colour? River Grey i think? The scooter looks to be in original paint but panels are painted in blue , rest of bodywork is a sort of grey colour.
Looking to restore it as near to original as possible so anyone know if they should be all one colour?

Cheers

Ive just had a series 1 and 2 painted, one in river grey and one dawn grey, if the frame looks grey its dawn grey, river grey has a slight green tint. My series one was originally river grey with blue panels, horncast and headset but its a 1959 o framebreather. Will try and up load picture.

I thought river grey series 1`s were single colour and dawn greys were the multi-coloured

Sure the early ones were all river grey, read that they were all one colour but mine has blue panels but headset and horncast grey, I suppose they could have been painted at one point though! If any one has any pics of series one in river grey it would be much appreciated! Pics in the books I've got are either black and white or if in colour look more blueish! Maybe I should just matt black it!!
