early indian legsheids question

Can anyone tell me or better still show me a pic of the correct way that early indian series 2 forks/headset fit together. Im presuming there would be a chrome ring (which i havent got) but there are 2 spurs that come off the end of the tube which i think are for the steering lock? Im trying to work out where the chrome ring would go, there is a big eneough gap for one but the two metal spurs look as though they would foul it.

Thanks
Sef

Cheers Jarv, yes i need to get my arse in gear. Had probs with photobucket but will need to get it sorted. Im now wondering if some indian series 2,s didnt have chrome rings at all and the two spurs are just a cruder steering lock?

There is quite a big gap though.... :?

the bodywork on this scooter is not a great fit, but this may give you an idea

I might need to drop the forks today, can take some more pics if I do, of course I won't just to take some photos for you

Cheers for that Jarv, in the first pic you can see the 2 metal spurs with the chrome ring going through the middle of them. I presuming thats the chrome ring painted white? The chrome ring looks as though it has a lip around the bottom edge, do you know if thats the same type of chrome ring as the italian and spanish or are indian ones different?
