uneven tickover

struggling to set up 30 delly on suzuki 190 ,starts ok but will not tickover properly ,revs up and down on its own,revs fine when throttled,have tried all different pilot jets and 42 seems to work best but still not right,could i go lower?bike has a race tune and pipe any jetting ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the air screw ? also its not the cable length stopping it ticking over or Choke slightly open ? just ideas

If it's revving up and down on tickover it is usually because it's too weak on the pilot Jet. Try a bigger pilot jet.

Could it be an air leak..have had similar problem and found a manifold nut had come lose.

Pressure test the engine first to eliminate any possible air leaks.

thanks for the replies,have tried jets from 42 up to 60 still the same,screws in every position but will try new slide next

Just had to replace the slide and venturi on my 30 vhsh because of the same thing.
