Bought 4 panel LED lights from e-bay and mounted on a Aluminium back plate. These have double sided tape on the back.

Mounted all 4 on the back plate and tested

The two outer will be brake lights

Even get a nice Reg plate light from the LEDs.

Very good, like it a lot :)
Ive been thinking of doing something similar, but was unsure if id need or could get brighter LEDs for the brake light and dimmer ones for the tail light ? ;)
Could a resistor be fitted to dim the light for the tail ??

Very nice job, looks sound.
I recently did an untidy version with strings of rubber encapsulated LEDs, and silicon'd them into the lens cover. I just used more LEDs for the brake light than I did for the tail light, and didn't see a need for brighter or dimmer ones. There's some piccies of it on this forum somewhere. It's on the scoot and works sound. Probably better than any other aspect of the bike at the mo....

I have no idea about resitors and such, thats way beyond my thinking, there are smaller boards on e-bay or you could just black out a row or two. But to be honest the back light on S1/S2's are cack so the brighter the better for me :D
