Would the engine of a 1965 150 Sportique be a 2 or 3 port? Cheers

It's a mate's scooter, but, yes he wants a bit more poke out of it. Nothing huge, just abit more to make it more rideable for todays roads. I rekon sticking a PX/LML engine in is the way to go!

I think you can get kits for those 2 port engines now.

What would need to be done to the gearing, if a PX125 engine was installed (with a 166/177 kit), but keeping 8" wheels, with use of an adaptor?

I would think you would want to raise the gearing to balance it out, using p200 primaries ,since the smaller wheel will lower the gearing quite a lot.

Mate now has the px engine, he even got an 'up gear' kit with it for it to run on 8" wheels, however I'm a bit confused on what we have to do to get an 8" rear hub and brakes to work with the px engine? Any advice appreciated, cheers Dave

I think SIP might do some sort of conversion kit but I'm damned if I can find it on their site
