Here´s my Vespa 150 Touren T4. It´s from 1959. 6900km.

Made under Piaggio license in Augsburg Germany.
This german modell has some special parts made by german companys.
Head and rearlight are made by Scharlach
Seat is made by Denfeld
Horn is made by Hella
Speedometer is made by VDO.

This parts are hard to find nowaday, so I´m happy the Scooter ist complete and still waiting for restauration.

I found it in 2004 on a flea market.

The touren, is extremely similar to the GS/3. Did The Touren also have the thin aluminium strip on each side panel. Is this the 3 speed or 4 speed one.

There is no strip on the side panels.

It´s a four speed one.

Is the T 4 not closer related to the GS 4?

Of course. Just goes to show you should read the thread properly.
The T4 is more or less a GS/4, it's the T3 which is similar to the GS150, except it only had 3 gears, hence the name.
From what I know about German Vespas there was
Hoffman, Messerschmitt and then Augsburg. Just like our Douglas. These companies assembled Vespa under licence from Piaggio.
