i seem to be going through carb rubbers every 100 mile or so.they seem to split at the manifold end.i have a mb inlet manifold with a tmx 35mm carb on a ts1 225. i have noticed the carb is right up against the engine mount. has anyone else had this problem and how did they sort it thanks

Have you tried twisting the carb round so its offset away from the mount. Thats what I have to do to mine as the fuel pipe was touching the mount. I also use offset cones which helps slightly.

I use the same as above cut 5mm longer than std carb rubber and has worked a treat for me on my monza with tmx35

Could be caused by the carb hitting the rear footboard on full suspension travel. A mate had this problem but it was knocking the carb off rather than splitting the rubber. Get a couple of portly squire mates to try it out off the centre stand. I agree about the silicone hose too, you can cut it to suit your specific requirement.

hi thanks for the replies i don't have rear foot boards,will try twisting carb from engine mount also will try the blue tubing as well thanks tosh m8.might file off the overflow pipe holder as well.
