If you don't intend to use it much, why not leave it alone until it breaks? It might not.

To actually answer your question, rather than question your reason for asking ;-) you'd be looking at £300-£400 plus parts for a quality rebuild.

I rebuilt my SIL motor after about 5k, you're looking at £550 for parts if you put good parts in. Could prob do it cheaper but why do it at all if you don't do it right.

Carb and pipe, if you're looking at new then add £350 -£400

So £1k should sort it on top of the cost of the motor itself!!! Mate bought a s**t hot TS1 motor for £2k, I know what I'd prefer!!!!

I'd strip it down to the gearbox and clean out the gunk the Indians call oil, check the gap on the end plate, replace the clutch plates £20, chain £35, chain tensioner £25, top end bearings and seals £50, fit a decent drive side seal plate £10, fit MEC GP200 race crank £120, fit a Mahle piston £45, fit 26 mm Dellorto PHBH £100 jetted, inlet for carb £25, Breath sweet filter £30, Ancilotti Clubman £180, sundries [gaskets, oil, throttle cable] £20
That's £660 in parts plus around £150 for labour.
It's where you draw the line at what you want to spend. You could change the rear hub bearing, fit an MB layshaft, fit an LTH 7 plate clutch, Alpha crankshaft, 5 speed gearbox. You can blow your whole £4 grand just on the engine if you want to fit the very best of everything.

^Good idea^ that if you dont use it much put it in see how it go's/lasts then go from there, before stripping and rebuilding though have an idea in your head what you want before you go to the person who's doing it for you otherwise they may do it to a different standard and it could end up costing you alot of money
