hi,is anyone running an inboard hydraulic conversion? ....was thinking using my existing hydraulic master cylinder and hose with the original inboard disc with the concealed slave in place of the actuater arm...how would this compare to the outboard that I will be taking off, will it be any good.........mike

Hi

Many years ago, I raced in Group 4 and used an inboard hydraulic system. I thought it was great - powerful, controllable, easy. In the last 6 months I've tried to scooters with the outboard version and HAVE NOT BEEN IMPRESSED. It could have been that they weren't setup properly, but I didn't like them.

I am going to buy an inboard version for my road lambretta that I will also race in street class, from Readspeed I think. It costs £99, so is much cheaper and I think it looks the business.

Oh, and I was at Mallory practice the other week, and if Bob West can blast around on his 20year old + group 4, faster than a lot of the younger lads and newer machinery using an inboard brake, then it's good enough for me !

PS, I haven't tried the ones you posted the pic of, these just fit in with a circlip I think. Personally, I would prefer the screw-in type and definitely fit braided hoses.
