I have a little query regarding the fitting of my CEV headlight bulb holder/connector block. Which is the correct way to fit it? Without modifying either the reflector with the clip or the bulb holder I think it is the wrong way.

So is it this way (the way that I think it should fit) lets call it example "A".

or this way, (the way the clip fits without modification) lets call it example "B"

surely "A" with the festoon bulb at the top .

A is correct but what's wrong with the fit of the clip in that position?
