whilst i've got my side casing off i am planning to chuck in some new clutch plates.
i ordered some surflex plates online and was given the option for a couple of quid to have "race" plates,
i have received them and was going to put them into soak tonight, when i looked at the packet they are labelled as "1062-c",
in stickys book he says to never use these as they are crap!
have i been sold a set of duff plates?

i ve got surflex 1062 b in my 3 ts1 engines and have never had any clutch issues
gp200 box 19x46 taffspeed exhausts (and a fresco) with mb springs

just fitted a surflex green set (not sure of ref number) to TS1 engine for a friend (again used mb springs) as part of a full rebuild and he burnt clutch out on way to scarborough from mansfield while running in - he provided the green ones they werent my choice

BEST OF LUCK

i remember in the 80's the rubbish sold under the race banner
anyone remember anti dive kits for vespas that just locked the front suspension
or shaft exhausts for T5'sthat knocked 10mph off the top end?
all sold as race stuff
