I used a Taffspeed rear shock in late 90's but the ones WSP have for sale on eBay look different.
Anyone know if they are orig or copies and experiences of using this shock

Are they the Protec ones which are similar to Taffspeed ones ?

Yeah they look like the Protec ones Rich Pressley used to do them and Chiggy at Lambretta Upgrades does them as well with a bigger collets and spring
I have them on my series 1 and Series 2 been good so far .

These are the seconed generation of shocks that Taffspeeed developed with Rod Avon who's previous company Avo Uk - was his first company that now trades in Northampton & made the original steel shock units.
Today the alloy units are made by Protech Shocks. There phone number is 01225 705553 they do 2 different lengths 300mm & 310mm you can pay via credit card.
WSP have no write too call them Taffspeed shocks, but that's another issue!
Buy direct & get a good warranty cover which I believe is now 3 years from date of purchase!

Ian thanks for the background info .
Sounds a bit out of order by WSP. I will bear this in mind when choosing which dealers to use
