I've just replaced my crank with a new SR one along with all new seals and FAG bearings but having put the flywheel on it seems to be catching slightly at one point....I am assuming this means I'll have to get the crank back out and checked to see if it's twisted?
Also does anyone know anywhere in Windsor/Slough area where I can take the crank to have it checked and straightened if necessary?
Or is it possible my new crank isn't twisted and I'm worrying unecessarily?

It might be catching on the drive end bearing plate or even the mag housing. Is the crank fully home?

If the flywheel is visually oscillating.....its most likely that the crank is twisted.

It's definitely the flywheel and it is only catching in one place and very lightly at that. I have tried to see if there is any visual evidence of the flywheel oscillating but I'll have a closer look tonight and try and measure it to see if there is any appreciable movement.

might be the stator mounted off centre leaving the pick up catching
or as its a new crank you might have a mismatch on the tapers which can leave the rotor nipped up offset with the appearance of a twisted crank, so always best to lap the 2 together (stator plate removed)with fine valve grinding paste until you get the taper to grab
