my lights are very poor at tickover and low revs the led rear has bad flicker as well at low revs
so i hav bgm stator with bgm ac/dc reg the dc is wired to big bike battery could it handle powering the lights ?
could i do this with a battery ?
Simple answer is no, the bgm reg's DC output is only half wave so wouldn't keep up with the demands on the battery.

thats good idea so would it just b case cutting the live feed to rear light then taking a live from the battery with inline switch ?Minority wrote:But with a battery it would be quite feasable to run your LED rear lights, although you would have to play around with the wiring.
If you have an Indian ignition switch, simply feed the purple (or blue) with a DC supply. But best to change your festoon to an LED type as well.
On an Indian switch, the purple feeds the festoon, speedo and tail light in position 2 & 3, this was to keep the 12v headlight separate from the other 6v circuits. If you have an electronic loom you would need to run a DC supply to the headset.
This will not work with an Italian type switch!

this may sound stupid but check your earth connections and your regulator earth connections for corrossion and their general condition as this can make quiet a difference
