When someone refers to an X13 2.5 clips from the top the .5 bit requires a shim or washer of some sort. I have searched online for such a Shim and have failed, can somebody please tell me where to purchase one or what thickness they are so I can salvage similar from something electronic thats about to break.

Thanks

It's only a small washer, I bought a packet of screws/nuts/washers from B&Q when I needed some screws for my light switch, the washers are perfect and move the clip half way between the notches. I'm sure you would find something suitable in redundant electronic items.

A few weeks back I was like you and convinced myself that these washers were unique. Then, like Saul on the road to Damascus I was blinded by the obvious. In the end, I searched my washer drawer and found a small cerrated ss washer and flattened it with a hammer on my vice. Then with callipers, measured and confirmed that it was fit for purpose and so it was. So have a look and you may have something that you can use, its only a thin washer.
