Did anyone know how to fix one of these Gloveboxes from resurrection-scooters on a Series 3?
Where i have to drill the holes for the mounting brackets? front legshield?

thanx

The glovebox has 4 lugs welded on the inside (two top and two bottom)

you bolt through the bottoms ones through existing holes in legshields( for mudguard)
Two top ones require the holes in the legshield to be drilled but you need to angle them inward to ensure they go behind the horncasting.

Offer up the glovebox and temporary bolt up the bottoms ones and mark the legsheilds to drill.

Thats the way Scootrs show it done

However when i have done them i weld a new bracket at the top of the box on the inside (above where the lock mechanism will catch - this does away with the two akward brackets at the top and means no chance of drilling wrong and not been behind the horncase

hope that makes sense - the scootrs ones come with good fitting instructions including photographs try and get a copy of them

best of luck

I agree with above except that you may have two small brackets with three holes in each. They are for the upper fixings and instructions usually say to pop rivet them in place when you have determined their position on the leg shield tunnel below the handlebars.
Alternatively ring Bruce Langley at Resurrection, I'm sure he can supply the necessary info.
You may also have to do quite a bit of fettling to get the edges of the glove box to match the contour of you leg shields.

I did one and don't envy you but Resurrection did my GP one as they built the scoot :!: :!:
NO IT'S NOT A F***IN* MOPED!!!!!!
