long time coming

Post pics & videos of your scooter, projects you're working on, a lovely Vespa that you saw at a rally, or anything else scooter related.

Hi
long time since I last posted anything. (see ojs autisa 150 thread).
As noted then (and on my joining the forum) I will only post when i think I have something to contribute.
Not sure this counts as a contribution but I thought someone may like to see my current project.
It's a bit different from the normal lambretta/vespa posts.

It's been a long time in the making..I have owned this for over 20 years.
In keeping with "fashion" I am keeping its patina....just cleaning all the accumulated rust and sh@t off.

As the saying goes......."do you know what I've been doing?..."

As I bolt the bits back on, I will add some more "in progress pics".
I will also post some "before pics" so you can see the grandeur.
More laters.

Regards
Steve

I dont think these do justice to the sheer state of the bike.
Everything was seized (including cables, panel handles, swing arm, shocks, forks, brakes....etc)

It's 50 years old next May, so I thought I should treat it with a little love.
I have owned it for nearly half its life and never done anything with it.

More as I do some.
cheers

Really good to see something different. I thought it may have been the old 'project lunacy' from Scootering Magazine years ago after looking at the first couple of pic's but seeing the 2nd set it's clearly not.
Is it a Capri though?

Hi Stokie,
cheers for that.
No its not a Capri, but it is from the same country and I believe the same design team that made the early Capris...
shall I tease for a bit longer?

Was that old project lunacy capri/cr 500 ever finished?
I wonder what became of it?

cheers
