i am rebuilding my ts1 motor
in the gasket kit i got from Beedspeed i got a copper exhaust gasket
are these worth using or shall i just use the normal type?

Why not use it?
Is it solid copper, or a copper sandwich?

dump the gasket and machine barrel and manifold flat ,then seal with a smear of silicone .

i'm not saying i wouldn't use it, I just haven't come across one before
it is a copper sandwich not solid

Solid copper ones were recommended by Webster. 3mm thick and anealed before each use.

Have run them on my TS1 225 for the last 2 years - now problems.

Heat it on a gas flame till it glows cherry red.....Then dump it as quick as you can into a tub of cold water... it will then become soft and very flexible.....Make sure the flange on the U-pipe is flat.... file it if needed...put a smear of high heat flexible gasket on both sides of the gasket... tighten the nuts up evenly... when the scooter has been run up to normal running temperature let it cool then re tighten the nuts.....
