Not tried the tmx but have been using the 30 flatslide for about 6yrs now.Good fuel consumption and runs spot on.
Maybe scootering should do a dyno shootout with all these different carbs.

VHSH30 every time, far superior IMO.

tmx 35 for me did have an amal 34mm but the tmx 35 gives a steady tickover and smooth ride. :D

Ran an Amal on my 1st TS. On this TS I did have a Delorto flat slide which was better but I find the TMX 35 is much easier to set up and gives better all round results.

It all depends on what you want, power or econony/driveability.As an example a mate had his TS1 225 dynoed with a Mukuni TM 30 and the 35.There wasn't a lot of difference just that the 30 had a smoother spread of power but once out on the road the 30 lacked the top end poke so he swapped to the 35 with the resulting fuel economy loss.

Another vote for the mikuni tmx35 on my ts1, case matched to barrel.

I read lots of different setups in several jetting databases, and took a stab at the middle of the numbers. The jetting was spot on, and proven by EGT at the top end. I tried leaner pilots, but went right back to my original guesswork and have not changed since. Tickover is steady.
Gobs of smooth power, especially when the mid range hits, and I installed a long range tank to combat the fuel consumption.
