Not the quietest pipe i've ever run, but I like that :baddevil:
I run the nk rally, very similar also fecking loud.
Sounds like its the body rather than the can.
Anyone tried heat wrap.

i can verify it isnt the can....swapped the end can off my friends pm pipe(that has a beautiful tone)and its exactly the same,my exhaust port isnt overly big either....looks like its the ear plug solution...even had kids cover their ears when i passed through a town en route to a local rally weekend!

Maybe the stinger pipe doesn't protrude into the end cone like on some spannies?
Easy enough to check with a length of stiff wire.

I've got the NK road pipe and have just fitted one of Andy Francis's new dome ended silencers in the hope it would quieten the thing down. It hasn't made a significant difference i'm sorry to report
I have thought of wrapping it as someone has suggested but it's fitted to a cast iron GT barrel. Should i avoid doing this as it might increase the temperature too much? This does have a large exhaust port too.
I like the performance of the pipe but it's on my daily driver so i am trying to shut it up a bit to keep the neighbours happy.
I'll try the silencer on the wife's Franspeed to see what difference there is with that and try her carbon kevlar one on the NK as i know that has a pleasant tone

i did the same with my mates pm end can and it really made no difference,so it must be down to its construction...can anybody explain wot a stinger is and will it affect performance and noise levels....GT Guy wrote:I've got the NK road pipe and have just fitted one of Andy Francis's new dome ended silencers in the hope it would quieten the thing down.
