Does the engine frome this fit any older vespas I

Short answer: No
Long answer: Yes, with a LOT of work it can be made to fit older scooters but it's hardly worth while unless you get it for peanuts and have a full workshop....

A mate of mine has a px with a 200 cosa fitted but is heavily modified.

not even the wide frame one, possibly the one before the gs.

The Cosae engine has an hydraulic back brake if you kept it you would have to adapt your scoot to work the hydraulics or (probably more dificult) change the brake to shoes...plus the engine mount is a different width...
