she found it in albany i think some years back as a wreck and had it restored a few years ago by casa lambretta
australia to almost original spec.
darren lashford <rap200> pulled it apart back in adelaide only to discover the motor was horrible and badly built along with some
other mechanical and electrical faults. i will not go into everything that was wrong with it. the engine was fully stripped and rebuilt to stage 4 <darren did port tune and rebuild> front end sorted and electrics too. its taken the best part of a year to get it set up properly, but worth it.
current set up is:
sil 175 stage 4 top end, mahle 2 ring piston.
mec black crank. <li>
30mm phbh.
sil 12v stator with px pick up and low tension coil. timing set at 17 degrees. tried an agusto unit but it wouldnt run, so timing set static.
af lightened flywheel.
taffspeed mk4 pipe.
uprated clutch springs.
conti twist tyres, 100/90 rear
escort dampers and shock.
standard li150 gearing 15/46.
port timings:
exhaust 170 65% bore width
inlet 150
transfers 126
carb:
running remote filter
112 main
53 pilot
x7 needle 1st clip
av266 atomiser
ps. still running in on motul 100 mineral
starts 1st kick everytime, nice and torquey and goes very well.
sits on the road beautifully, handles and goes around corners easily!
special thanks to my mates with this, darren lashford adelaide, fenian mick perth, mark carter adelaide and adam winstone oxford.
i will post a youtube vid sometime.
