bought a gp150 barrel and head with the intention of boring out to 175,but its already been bored out to 62mm and had the ports opened out as per the old performance tuning and conversions manual specs, looks like a real nice job,the ports are all polished and the bore is in great shape so i ordered a new mahle piston and fitted it all to the scooter, runs really good, question is with it only having a new piston and rings should i carefully run it in,and use a 4 percent mix.

as long as you have checked (or have had checked) that the bore to piston and ring tollerences are fine .. you dont say in your first post ...

im never too keen to advise on these things so i will say that the general rule of thumb is 500 miles
