I know this issue is a trade off for having a expansion type system but is there a way of stopping the endcan from repainting my panel with exhaust crap? Situation has gradually got worse over time and oil is seeping through the riveted bands on both ends of the can. It does this on low and high RPM. Other JL3 users do not seem to suffer the same degree of oil splatter over their panel as mine and they do more miles than me. Exhaust is over 18 months old and covered 2000 miles.

How much oil are you putting in there? I usually run at 3% but ran it at 4% whilst running in my Avanti and although there is some oil seepage around the rivets, it certainly isn't bad

I have had this problem on my franspeed race from both rivets and the slip joint. If its coming through the rivets then its only a matter of time befor they start popping out. Your best bet is to drill them out and re rivet them before the holes they sit in widen which they will. If your lucky you may get away with using the same size rivets if not you will need to re drill and put the next size up in. I have had to do mine twice now.
As prev said best fix for the slip joint is the rubber sleeve, think Beedspeed do them for £8

i always use clear silicone when reassembling endcans and slip joints just wipe of the excess it will slow down the time it takes to leak and might even stop it
