Can anyone reccomend somebody local (ish) to repair my hub please? It needs a crack welding up and a reverse thread helicoil fitted :baddevil:
If now local then is there somebody trusted I could send it to for repair?

cheers!

Original inboard disc, window side. small hairline crack where the remains of a stripped hub stud refused to come out.. I was thinking a simple slot through the crack then weld up and I could shape it to suit? then get a helicoil fitted afterwards. The actual lug is still exactly as before.

Instead of faffing about with a left-handed helicoil, if such a thing exists.
How about welding up the crack and hole (ooh errr!!!) then redrilling and tapping it. Possibly to take a standard 8mm setbolt.
I know it won't look pucker, but it may well be stronger.
