stainless steel reeds ?

just picked up a genuine yam reed block complete with the standard stainless steel reeds - i already have some fibre to replace them with but wondered has anyone tried using the steel ones ?

work really well until they snap then your looking at a mahoosiv rebuild bill; there evils a tells ya :baddevil:

had a bgm block and yamaha reeds for approx 2000 miles and they worked fine
different engine now

i wont be using them was just curious - the snapping/breaking was my concern - i`ve seen fibre eaten and spat out with no damage to barel and piston

I seen the aftermath an it wont a pretty site or cheap to get it bak on the road to right :flaming: piston head barrel n crank strip n rebuild; ouch,
