Got my mates 125 in bits, problem is the clutch doesnt seem to be working at all. pull the lever and nothing. the clutch arm seems to travel a hell of a way before I can feel any contact. I opened it up and apart from slightly dryish corks every thing looks ok. The clutch is the newer 4 plate type. the geared washer/ spacer is there. Its as if the clutch is sitting too far away from the brass plunger. The brass plonger is in good condition too. I am going to extend the slots in the clutch housing, but thought I'd check here first. Any help much appreciated. :freak:

Check that the clutch centre boss part that touches the shim/little gear on the crank isn't flush , if it is ,sip do a spacer washer or you can make one yourself or sand the clutch gear down a fraction. The boss needs to be about 0.5mm proud or you won't get correct clutch separation.
