Have just put together my clutch on a new build, all looks ok but when I put the casing on it touches, after a process of elimination I have realised that the clutch basket fowls the case, when I removed it the case fits as it should. The box is an li150 pacemaker, I've taken some pictures so you can see if I have the right parts, something isn't right

When I had all the clutch plates in, it looked like the plates were sitting really high, like they weren't going to the bottom of the basket? Any thought most appreciated :D

What side casing and clutch operating assembly are you using?

Did you check how much the spider pokes through the sprocket on the back shouldn't be more than 0.10mm (a tenth of a mm) also did ypu check the sprockets were at the same hight what thickness shim is under the spider ?

No, well, I asked for a standard one at the parts fair. There are 5 plates as I bought a 5 plate set up that allows you to keep a standard spider.

Ok, taken it all apart, removed all the shims and checked the lay shaft was fitted all the way in. Put it all back together without any shims and the spider is still sitting to high. When I put the casing on it touches the top of the spider ever so slightly.

It's either:

Clutch spider is wrong size
End plate bearing wrong somehow: too thick? Making the spider sit slightly too high?
Side casing somehow wrong, but it fits on my other engine perfect?
