Vespa GS150 Messerschmitt

thats lovely - did the german 150 have the same forks as the italian mk II 160 then ???

No, this is equivilant to a Italian VS3. The German GS160 was commonly known as the GS4.

The Germans are into Vespas as much as we are. Some of there tuned scooters are unbelievable. With the GS, they changed the seat, rear light and badges. They did change other parts, but can't remember which ones. We all know GS150 as being silver, the Germans painted them either silver or white.
There was two companies in Germany which built the vespa in the 60's, first was Messerschmitt, then Augsburg just like Douglas in the UK.
I'm not preaching or being a smart arse. I tried to buy a Italian GS ten years ago, the owner was wanting silly money and then a German GS come up for sale. So didn't believe the built GS scooters until I Googled and that was it. Bit of research done and now I'm an anorak.

Think you need to put your glasses on Rich! the front damper isnt very obvious in the pic but it is there
