Just looking for ideas for a future project, and trying to get some ideas.

Old School modified front drum
anti dive wouldnt be impossible but would require a fair ammount of extra metal / welding and not worth it imo

Thanks interested to see photos of old mods done in the 70s-80s
Found this on the net, are there different shoe linings avalable off the shelf?

Yes i know a disk kit would be easyer, but i want an old school look.

OK ..this is what i think you will need to achieve .. you will need to grind off the lug where the lug on the link goes(arrowed)remove lug on link also ,an arm like i have added to your pic will need welding to the back plate and you will have to add a bearing or some kind of bush to the center spindle end to allow the hub and back plate to move freely when bolted into your forks then a bushed or rose jointed rod at the top end connected to the fork leg as per disk anti dive .
the cut out in your pic at the top look fine ,i'm not so keen on the bottom one given its closeness to cable stop
AND .....my disclaimer here ... if you decide to do this mod then its up to YOU to be sure every step has been undertaken that the arm is upto the job of taking the weight of the scoot and your self with out breaking as the forces applied if you slam on the anchors are working against the arm and back plate ... rather than arm and caliper on disc set ups ... basically on your head be it
