Converting GP endplate to the adjustable Li ramp type.

I'm converting my GP endplate to the adjustable ramp type. I've drilled the holes in the casing and fitted the adjustable ramp. [5mm holes for 6mm thread for anyone wanting to know]. I'm just not sure how critical the shape of the endplate is after grinding the fixed ramp off it. I've not got an Li one to compare it with. There's obviously a lot less metal than there previously was, so I'm imagining there shouldn't be an issue but can't help wondering if I'm overlooking something. I don't want to set it up only to find I trash the gearbox for something I'd overlooked.
Anyone got the T shirt?

Also posted on LCGB as not everyone reads both forums.

Why not use an LI endplate. Contrary to popular scaremongering they do usually line up.

Martin, if you do a search on here (or on LCGB) some other guy put photos up showing how he did it. Pretty straight forward.
