Regarding fitting mugello 186 kit,i've fitted new crank & bearings am on to piston.Do i need to fit piston shims as there is quite a gap between small end bearing & piston(approx 3-4mm).The crank is not shimmed.

Might be worth buying a wider small end bearing assuming your crank is shimmed, Cambridge lambretta have them in stock I think :-)

My last post sounds a bit daft . I have just fitted a GP200 crank with the large gap at the little end bearing. Reading sticky's book it says this type of crank doesn't need shims.
