Just fitted new nylon bushes to my fork links but they are to tight to put the metal pivot bushes through ,has anyone else had this problem , and how did they overcome it?

I bought a lathe and made my own bushes, that's how I overcame it.

You can use a reamer to remove some of the ID from the bush.

You can use the jaws of a vice to push the metal sleeves in, but there should be some movement here. If they are too tight, it is not ideal.

You could send the bushes back and ask for some that fit.

the white ones always seem a bit of a knightmare............the grey type a bit less so........... :?
black ones seem quite good from my experience so far.........but i,m sure other folk may see things differently...........
knowledges solution is the best in this respect...................... :D

IMO fitting link bushes ranks equal first with trying to get the 'bridge' piece to fit neatly.

i use brass ones with a spiral groove in them for the grease ,the links need to move freely when everything is tight , i trial test mine before i fit the springs and rods i susspect that if one link is tight thats why people scoots pull to one side esp when braking

I've had this problem with the white ones. I binned them and bought a set of black ones from MB which were, by comparison, almost finger push in.

I've helped fit a set from MB. Half an hour with some 80 grade sandpaper to get them to fit.
