Hi all,

I have managed to break one of the handle bar mirrors on my PX disc. The glass is ok but the plastic shell has broken. I have a good spare but of course you can't fix it to the chromed stem because you can't get at the nut because the glass is in the way. Is there a way to remove the glass without breaking it and glue it back in when the nut has been tightened???

Is the nut not held in position so you could wind it off and on? If not most wing mirrors are normally stuck with double sided type tape not glued, you should be able to confirm this with your old one. If so you would need to prise it off gently, maybe a bit of heat from a hairdryer and something wide to lever it gently.
