RB options.

Hi all, I'm currently running a tuned Imola and although it's fun and very nippy, I'm wanting something with a bit more grunt now. I'm thinking of going for a RB 225/250. I've seen somewhere that they are 25HP straight out the box, is that correct? I've got a spare 200 casing, is it as simple as fit and forget, or should I spend the extra and get the casings matched, or leave as is? I understand the cranks and pipes are different, but everything else I have lying around in my shed. Any advice gratefully received. Cheers Pete.

I've a RB 250, the best motor I've ever had.
You're standard 200 case needs to be machined (AF do them), the pipe is different, the angle where it joins the barrel, you'll need a crank to cope with the power (and potential power), I have AF's rated to 10,000 rpm no problems with it, you'll need a clutch, 6 plate in my opinion (if it's lambretta style ie not motor bike plates), I have a reedspeed, excellent for fit and control, 34/35mm carb.
Other items you may or may not have, decent brakes (hydraulic front), decent suspension.
My motor is 32 bhp, with a small amount of fettling, potential for more is there.
Big grins when riding it.
