Whats the current fave touring tyre?

I have weathermans at the moment but they always feel a bit wobbly to me. As if the tyre isn't inflated properly.

just tried sava mc18's but they crap tyre loses grip on front with heavy braking, so going back to continental twists, lasted ages with loads of grip

I did a bit of touring earlier in the year on Dunlop TT92s. Very good on the twisties. Back ones last me about 6,000km.

Apparently, they're not all that good in the wet. That's not my experience. Mine still heat up well in the wet, and stay sticky.

Fitted a set of Schwalbe Weatherman's the other week and had a very wet ride through the highlands and found them to be a massive improvement over the previous Racemans I had fitted, and will be keeping them on for the 4 Nations next month! the Raceman's just didn't give me any confidence in the wet what so ever and was also disappointed how quickly the rear wore out, My Mrs has Continental Twists on her Pacemaker and they seem to be lasting well and handle fine in both wet and dry, for a long lasting cheapish tyre that handle's well in the dry and are ok'ish in the wet as long as you don't push it too hard I guess Michelin S1's are hard to beat, I still have them fitted to my trusty old GP rally scoot, but reckon I will be fitting Conti twists next until something better turns up. ;)
