What does the small brass pushed in jet looking hole at the top of the venturi but to the rear do ,on later 24E carbs it is blocked with some black bung?
Also ,they run a 50 pilot with the air filter without the holes drilled in the 'heart' shape press above the jets , if i was to run a 55 pilot and appropriate main upjet with a later drilled filter would the above mentioned mystery brass hole have any adverse (lean) effect?
rally 200 carb question

if the little hole at the back is not plugged, you use a straight pilot jet without a hole.cit205 wrote:What does the small brass pushed in jet looking hole at the top of the venturi but to the rear do ,on later 24E carbs it is blocked with some black bung?

if that hole is blocked/plugged then you use an idle jet with a hole.
not sure about the air filter hole...it would restrict air to the jet..so maybe it needs removing if you use a pilot with a hole in it. ill have to check if the filter covers the hole at the back or if that hole is wide open...

the back hole is plugged right? 55/160 is stock idle for a 24/24 on a 200cc. plug the back hole if it is not already done.cit205 wrote:Thanks ,it's running ok at the moment with a drilled air filter and 55 pilot with the hole ,i have cleaned the other carb and and filter and stored them for now.
