other than the obvious earth going from the heaset wiring to the headlight rim or better still (i am told) to the screw underneath the throttle holder where are other earths places and where should they go in headset wiring as i cant see any white leads? The circuit diagrams in Stickys dont tell me anything about earths which is my problem i think, unless i am missing something.

thanks

I generally have the ignition switch [often pink] earthed to headset clamp, and the run a wire from this down to the horn bracket.
I loop the earth side of the festoon to the spare three way connector block on the bulb holder, make an earth to go round the sppedo light holder and plug it in here and then run a wire to the gear change clamp.
I also fit an earth between the engine [from a stator wires grommet bolt, rather than the cowling] and the frame [although there was an overly heated debate on LCGB recently about the merits of this... but apparently it is recommended with BGM 120W stators... so I'm told... anyway, I always fit one], and make a good earth on the rear of the frame for the rear lamp, the reg if you have it about there and also include a little wire with spade connector on which is handy as an earth tag when testing etc.
I am possibly overly obsessive about earths, but so many faults on lambrettas can be traced to poor earth connections...

oh, and I don't bother with the rim one
