I need to replace them, but really want to keep the scoot as orig. I know they're probably not as good as those new fangled outboard series three ones, but are there any better than others?

Think most people will have their opinions, i use the Indian 3 hole ones on my scooters been good so far
As my Dad used to say "Each to their own lad"
