Got a set of SX150 casings and want to weld up and convert to 200 stud spacing........who is doing them?

Anyone got contact details, prices etc??

CS Engineering. Opened up a 125 casing to 250 for an RB kit also got the casing blasted and steam cleaned about 230 inc the postage back.

I THOUGHT that CS Engineering (Chris Sadd) was charging around 150 for the plain 200 conversion, he does them in batches I believe. The beed blasting would obviously push the price up. Mark would have more idea but he's off to Lincoln this weekend. Still he might log in with his iphone

Doesnt Harry Barlow do it? No min batch too. Sure its been on LCGB lately.

Ye Dan id go with that, remember Mark (Tidds) saying he does them in batchs but not sure of the numbers needed to make it cost effective for him (CS)

Harry Barlow was doing Spanish 125/150 caings to 200 in batches of 10 to keep costs down - I'm sure I've seen a figure of around £100 mentioned - not sure if it'd be the same deal for the Italian version.

CS Engineering as mentioned - I believe they did a batch that Knowledge was flogging a while back.

I can't remember the base price I paid but it's great job and the price is competitive compared to others. The price was higher for the vapour blasting etc

i read an interesting post recently by chance on the "other" site,basically this guy managed to get a 200 barrel on a 150 block by drilling out specific stud holes on the barrel to specific sizes(dont ask me what i cant remember)
not sure if he aslso machined the spigot or the cases
if you do a search on the site you should find it as it was a recent post
so wouldnt this mean you dont need to convert to a 200 case? and just do the top end?
sounded a bit good to be true but it sounded feasable
can anyone shed more light?

spigot needs to be machined down people have been doing it foor many years

It was me, it worked well. A 200 SIL barrel with a good, chrome ring piston bought new but secondhand off ebay. The spigot as it goes into the neck is quite thin. Using a pillar drill, drill out the 4 barrel holes 13mm, one 12mm as it's near a port. I used MB stubs, it was tight to put but got there. I used a 200 head just needed to drill and file it out bit by bit, some people got 150 head profiled but I can't see the point 200 barrel = 200 head. Anyway if performs just like a 200 but the cranks on the way out so I'll have to take it all off again
